Welcome To Teen Bible Quiz!

Teen Bible Quiz is a ministry of the Assemblies of God National Youth Department and is for kids grades 9-12. Bible Quizzing is similar to quick recall academic games (i.e. Jeopardy). Two teams of three quizzers each face a series of twenty questions with varying difficulty. The first quizzer to buzz in and answer the question correctly gains points for their team.

Why Teen Bible Quiz?

· Encourage by systematic memorization and study an in-depth understanding of God’s Word among young people which leads to daily application of the Word
· Cultivate through competition a proper attitude toward winning and losing.
· Provide an opportunity for discipling youth so that they will reflect the Spirit of Christ in attitude, word, and action.
· Provide through travel and competition opportunities to expand Christian fellowship.
There are only four competitions during a year and weekly practices. More time is spent studying what the Scripture means in a small group environment. From the outside, it looks like just competition and trophies. From the inside, it is all about friendships and mentoring.
Yes, there are designated league coordinators throughout the state who are highly qualified to help you start this ministry in your church. Please contact Elisa Napierala (enapier2@mail.naz.edu) to find out who your local league coordinator is.
Any teenager, grades 9-12 (as of the beginning of the quiz year, September 1st), may participate in Teen Bible Quiz. To form a team, there needs to be at least 2 quizzers (maximum of 6 quizzers on a team) and a head coach. A team also has the option of having two assistant coaches as well.
Teen Bible Quizzers are assigned different books of the Bible each year to memorize. The books are separated into smaller, manageable groups to memorize so the entire book does not have to be memorized all at once. This year, we are studying the book of Acts.
No! We believe that each person should memorize God’s Word to the best of his or her ability, whether that be learning one chapter or all of them! The most important part of quizzing is learning God’s Word and hiding it in your heart for eternity. It’s incredible how God uses what we learn in our hardest times to give us peace and hope that he will take care of us.
A Teen Bible Quiz team can advance first to District Finals, then to Regionals, and from there to Nationals.
